Drinking Water Safety is Our Top Priority Now

Drinking water safety is our top priority now. Health and social problems in poor-quality water regions are serious and solution to this problem is urgently needed. In China, there are 190 million people get sick , and 60,000 people died of diseases caused by water pollution(such as cancer of the stomach and liver) every year. Approximately 300 million people are facing the problem of shortage of drinking water. In a nation-wide assessment in 2009, a quarter of the city water treatment plants surveyed are found not meeting the quality control requirements. This raises concerns about public health issues.
