Mechanical filter is also called pressured filter. It is capable of removing suspension material form water. It is widely used in pre-filtration for the tap water, industry process water, domestic water and pure water. Generally, the materials of mechanical filters are activated carbon, quartz sand, manganese ore, anthracite and so on. It can reduce the water turbidity to satisfy feed water requirement by adsorption, and also is the essential pre-treatment plant in the water treatment system.
