Compared with the tradition shaft screw conveyor, shaftless screw conveyor has the following outstanding advantages: strong winding resistance as it is designed without central shaft and uses steel screw which is flexible in a certain degree to convey material. Screw conveyor has advantages of simple structure, low manufacturing cost, strong sealing, safe and convenient operation and so on. Loading and unloading can be carried out on several locations in the middle. It is widely used in chemical industry, building materials, metallurgy, food, etc. When inclination angle β is <20 °, it can convey low viscosity, non-perishable, not agglomerated powder, granular and small pieces of material.
